Like many on here I am getting fed up with Ancestry and am about to cancel my subscription after about 12 years.
I am told I will still be able to access my trees and have dowloaded a Gedcom.
I need a program to open it in
Can anyone please suggest some free Family tree programs?

I can say that I have used the free version of Legacy. It isn't too bad and the biggest issue that I have is that I can only save jpg into the program and not pdf files.
You haven't said if you are using Windows, Mac or Linux. Windows has the most choice, followed by Mac and the least on Linux. If you are on Linux there is a free program called Gramps (also works on Windows and I think Mac).
Easiest way is to download all the free ones (and free trials) and find the one that you like best.0 -
