There will be a minimum size but it's more a practical restriction than a waterproofing problem.
We're about to put a shower, toilet and basin in out built-in cupboard of our bedroom. It's the space above the stairs so it's small - 76cm by 160cm with a step in the middle. It's a tight fit to get everything in (very tight fit) and while doing a wetroom would mean no shower cubicle and possibly make sitting on the loo feel less claustrophobic you would end up with water all over the door and pretty much ever surface.
If you are looking at a wetroom for that reason I would say it won't work but if you have space so that water from the shower won't hit the door, toilet seat, lights etc you shoudl be able to fit it in.

  • Thanks for all your replies. It is not a choice but a disability adaptation. My spare room at the moment is around 14 ft by 10ft, so my thinking was that they would take a slice of approx 6 ft by 6ft from it resiting the doorway. The plumbing ( from the bathroom below) runs up through the cupboard in that room. The council contractor would be doing the work.

if its the council ill assume your getting a grant and you know about it, if not you probably can get one so check it out, we specialise in wetrooms and enabled bathrooms is a bit of a speciality of mine if you require any advice dont hesitate to shout, my experience has been that with tight budgets you can get palmed off a bit but with some knowledge and a bit of a fight there is no reason why you cant get a great looking bathroom too
