Blinds, blinds and blinds

Hi,

I have badly broken venetian blinds. I am not great at DIY, but what I want to know is can I remove the venetian blinds and replace it with roller blinds in the same bracket...Is this possible? Or do I need new set of brackets? If its not roller blinds, any other kind of blinds? I am not so keen on venetian blinds.

I have googled the internet and looked at the pictures of the fittings, but cannot figure out if there is a difference.

Can anyone help?

very unlikely. most new blinds will come with new fixing brackets anyways.

The brackets on roller fit inside the tube to allow the blind to 'roll', on a venetian the brackets close on the the end of the fixing bar (ours do anyway!). you will need to replace the brackets if you go for rollers.
