Erroneous default

Ages ago I had a rant about Vodafone who not only issued a default notice against my mother for something she had already paid (despite proof of payment being sent to them) but bullied her into paying again. They removed the default and refunded the overpayment over a year later, without including any interest I might add.
We have since found out that the credit reference agency Callcredit are still showing the default, we have written to them and informed them it was a BAD mistake on Vodafone's part and that the default has been removed from Experian and Equifax. We have had no response and as my parents are in fairly desperate need of a loan at present it is making life very difficult for them.
Any ideas?

They could attach a note to it so any credit checker would be able to see whats happened and why it is no longer relevant.:rotfl: It's better to live 1 year as a tiger than a lifetime as a worm...but then, whoever heard of a wormskin rug!!!:rotfl:0

notes slow down application processes and in some instances can lead to borrowing being refused - there's a fair chance that whoever they go with won't check with callcredit but I'd be on to Vodaphone and hint at damages for extra expenses on borrowing, should get them to move a bit quicker.0

Sorry to hear about the problem with the credit check completed by your mother. Without checking your account I can only give general advice - that once a default has been satisfied (or in your case this sounds like it has been removed) Vodafone would automatically update the credit agencies of this change.
To allow me to check your account please use the Email Contact Page enter a brief description of the issue (or a link to this thread) and "FIT135" somewhere in the body of the email and we can look into this for you.0
