We have an Alexa Echo, paying £3.99pm.
Just purchased an Echo Dot, basically, for radio & alarm clock, don't require Amazon playlist songs on the Dot.
Do I have to set up the Dot through my phone, just plugged it in and says Interet not connected?

Yes you do have to connect it/set it up through the Alexa app.
Not sure but I think you can either add it as an additional one to the device you have or set it up with the app on another phone.0 -
yes, set up using the app on your phone. You can pay extra, £7.99 to have music streamed to several devices, the 3.99 is just for one device.
Or subscribe to Amazon Prime for limited music streaming to several devices.0
