Unscrupulous Motorhome Hire Company - stolen deposits

We hired a motorhome for a family holiday last year and have been struggling to get the large deposit that the company required returned to us. They ignore all calls and emails.
I went back to look at reviews of this company last night and it seems this company has done this to many, many people recently (the reviews before we made our booking were not like this or I would have avoided them like the plague)...
We are waiting for almost £1500 to be returned, we have incurred interest charges on this too (although CC have frozen this as of yesterday) and others have also had thousands withheld from them... so this is not small fry.
I am hoping my credit card provider can fight this (and will obviously use small claims if not) but I wondered if there was a way of publicising this to help prevent others being caught out and having to go through this hassle?

ETA; just to say, this is not a dispute over my not being entitled to the money back. I received an email from the company saying they were ready to return the deposit and it would take 2-3 days. It never arrived and I have been unable to contact anyone at the company - in the reviews this is what seems to be happening to everyone.

Had a look at the company website from the trustpilot reviews. The state there company registration number to be 04306649 and per companies house

Just raise a Section 75 claim with the credit card provider, and supply the email confirming that a deposit refund is due as your evidence. The CC company can then chase the supplier to recover it, but the CC company has a duty in law (Consumer Credit Act 1974, which is where Section 75 comes from) to make the refund ... the CC company is jointly liable with the supplier for the performance of the contract.0
