Charge Notice, Notice to Keeper

Hi. Having received(as registered keeper of the vehicle) a Charge Notice from Vehicle Control Services Ltd Sheffield, regarding Stopping in a restricted Bus Stop/Stand at Humberside Airport. I would like some advice on how to proceed. Photographic evidence shows the vehicle stopping in a restricted bus stop/stand for a maximum of 1 minute to let a passenger out. No idea as to what signage was displayed regarding the alleged offence. The fine is extortionate. £100.00 but reduced to £60.00 if paid within 14 days of the issue date of the CN. Could someone please advise me of the best course of action to take.

Go to the NEWBIES section and read up about the game you are now involved in you do have more choices at this early stage, VCS are a particularly nasty scammer, you will find out more about them by searching the forum.


I think? they have just been beaten in Court at Humberside Airport but don't quote me on that.


So to recap choices are pay it (NEVER advised here) or fight back but know it takes a lot of your time and effort to eventually beat them (99% success rate here)

As above, start by reading the sticky thread for NEWBIES, then send the appeal template in blue from The Keeper that you will find there in post 1 of said NEWBIES.

Then search this forum but set the Search criteria to show posts, and look for other Humberside as well as other airports such as Robin Hood (Doncaster) JLA etcetera.

Byelaws probably apply at Humberside so the Keeper probably won't be liable.
