Hi All

Sorry - i can't seem to find anything in the thread that matches my situation

Car was used to go the the gym. Small car park opposite where the car was parked. Driver did not notice any signs but they are there

Few shops surrounding the car park (Greggs, a small restaurant and a cosmetic surgery company)

Received a Parking charge yesterday which states that driver was observed leaving the site - pay £60 within the next 14 days

My questions are:
1)Should payment be made? Car park is clearly signed
2) should more be expected? car was parked the Friday (no ticket as of yet) the Saturday (ticket) the Sunday (no ticket as of yet) and then Tuesday night (no ticket as of yet).If payment is made for one is fault being admitted for all parking charges that could be received?

No, we do say to start new threads if you have questions, but literally EVERY threads starts with
    DO NOT IDENTIFY THE DRIVER

so now, you must go through your first post and, without argument, make it so we cannot work out who drove the car on that day. Now.

Leaving site is unlikely to be considered by a judge as a fair term in a consumer contract. Indeed he may consider that it is an attempt to interfere with your rights under The Human Rights Act.

If the wind blows your lovely new Monte Christo Panama, (£300 in Jermyn Street), off site, do you not pursue it, of course you do. This so called contractual term is a silly made up scam point.

Complain to your MP as it is the will of Parliament that these scammers be put out of business.

Hopefully that will take place in the near future. The Bill has passed through the HOC without hitch, and goes to the Lords soon. In the meantime involve your MP, the poor dears are buckling under the weight of complaints about these scammers.

This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for minor breaches of alleged contracts for alleged parking offences, aided and abetted by a handful of low-rent solicitors. Is has been suggested by an MP that some of these companies may have connections to organised crime.

Parking Eye, CPM, Smart, (especially Smart}, and others have already been named and shamed in the House of Commons as have Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Legal, (these two law firms take hundreds of these cases to court each week), hospital car parks and residential complex tickets have been especially mentioned. They lose most of them, and have been reported to the regulatory authority by an M.P. for unprofessional conduct

The problem has become so widespread that MPs have agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers.

Sir Greg Knight's Private Members Bill to curb the excesses, and perhaps close down, some of these companies passed its Third Reading in late November, and, with a fair wind, will become Law next year.

All three readings are available to watch on the internet, (some 6-7 hours), and published in Hansard. MPs have an extremely low opinion of the industry. Many are complaining that they are becoming overwhelmed by complaints from members of the public. Add to their burden, complain in the most robust terms about the scammers.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

Why not use the ready made appeal template in blue you will find in the sticky thread for NEWBIES?

You could add a one liner, without giving away the driver's identity, that since the site boundary is not defined, and they have no proof that the driver left the undefined site, they should cancel now instead of losing in court.
