Parking on private drive/road

Hi not sure where to ask this, so thought I would start here.
The company I work for owns some offices which are accessed via a private drive, which we also own. The houses on either side of the drive have right of access to the rear of their properties via the drive.
One of our tenants has advised us that one of the houses is running a business from there and that their clients are using the drive to park. Our tenants have asked them on a number of occasions not to park there as the vehicles cause an obstruction.
We are obviously going to write to them but are there any options we can avail of so that it does not continue but at the same time maintain a good relationship?
TIA

This is not our normal area of expertise, but I would think a polite but to the point letter stating that the house owner is welcome to use the road for access to the rear of their property, but must not allow visitors to park on the access road which is owned by your company.
If you have a copy of the contact/legal title to the road, then quote or copy the relevant parts.
If your company has a legal department, legally qualified personnel, in house solicitors, or employs a solicitor, the letter would be better coming from them.
Start with a statement with no hint of "retribution" at this stage. Just politely hint that you know what they are doing and they are not allowed to do it.
If it continues, the landowner has the right to obtain keeper details from the DVLA and can send each "visitor" a warning not to trespass. It is up to you whether to mention this at this stage. If the house owner's customers keep getting these, his/her business may drop off.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

Pretty much as above
Point out your rights, and back them up,and ask them to ensure their visitors dont infringe.0 -
I would be very careful not to get caught up in other people's disputes. If it is causing problems with traffic getting to your business by all means take it up with the person who has the cars parked outside their house, but if not I would do nothing.
If you do decide to write a letter, you need to know the exact legal position regarding parking on the drive. So I would not write anything without first consulting the firm's solicitor.0 -
Thanks everyone, will get our solicitor to sort out the letter. The drive is not that big/wide, so any obstruction can cause a problem for our tenants, and as we have a good relationship with them, we obviously want to maintain it while at the same time not antagonising the relationship with the neighbours.
I'm hoping that they may not realise that the clients are parking there and that a simple letter will solve it all.A smile costs little but creates much

Mistral - if these are the OPs tenants complaining, then the OP is alreqayd involved.0
