  • Busy afternoon getting ready for school tomorrow and cleaning the house. We’re trying to sell our house at the moment as we’ll be moving soon ( into a house that we already own) that has a far smaller mortgage on it and the term is shorter so makes sense. So I decided to clean out living room carpet which is cream  managed to do 3/4 of that and will do the rest in the week.
Little DS isn’t well :( we think it’s teething but he’s really struggling. So while he’s asleep I’ve gone to bed until he wakes up again which won’t be long! So we didn’t venture out this afternoon which means today was another NSD, every cloud :)
    As for the jobs:

    Clean en-suite - Done
Do 5 surveys - not done, tried 8 surveys but frozen out of all of them!
Clean kitchen floor - Done by big DS :)
    Put out washing - Done
Put clean washing away - Mostly(!) Done
Bake for baby music class tomorrow - Done (hopefully DS will be well enough to go)
  • Hi all

A bit of a nightmare Monday so far! Big DS has been sent home with a sickness bug and little DS is very cuddly and sleepy, making me think he’s coming down with it too :( DD has a sickness phobia too so sickness bugs more of a nightmare than usual on our house.
As for the debt clearing sold some shoes on eBay this afternoon, so that’s £12.40 that will be going straight to the cc, and answered a few surveys during nap time so have £6.55 in my onepoll account as it stands :)
  • Well after a horrendous night with poor big DS, I think he’s through the worst. Still pale but much more himself than yesterday. He’s having a PJ day while Little DS and I start decluttering/packing things we won’t need for a few months to take to the new house.

So another NSD today! Plus have a bid on one of my eBay items which ends tonight so should get at least £20 from that :) That will be going straight to pay more on my Next account.
I’ve redeemed the last £10 worth of points from my silly CC (I can’t believe I ever thought that the vouchers were good value but I’ve learnt my lesson now!) and converted into amazon vouchers to restock cleaning products, if there’s a good deal on at the time.
  • Well me celebrating a NSD was a bit premature
DD came home upset from something in school so we went to town for a walk and had a babycino as she needed some girl time. We’d ran out of yoghurts so ended up going into Iceland and spending £3, plus £5 in Tesco to stock up on cooking bacon (at 57p I can’t find it cheaper anywhere else!), some veggies and bread. They are essentials but still frustrated as sometimes I feel like we could ‘make do’ until I go shopping again and if we run out it’s tough. That said the kids don’t ask for much, they don’t have any brands, don’t drink fizzy drinks or squash and don’t have any of the sugary cereals I had growing up, so I’m not going to deny them a couple of yoghurts and some apples. I know little ‘top up shops’ is a slippery slope for me, so I need to be careful not to make it a habit again.
  • After scouring the whole house with anti bac and bleach and thinking we were in the clear, the baby started being sick last night :(
Fortunately he was only sick twice and woke up this morning his mischievous self, if a little quiet and cuddly. So now praying no one else gets it. I’m going on a spa afternoon to celebrate my friend’s birthday on Saturday, it’s been planned and paid for months in advance so keeping everything crossed that I’m okay for that.
Made some pennies in the last few days, £30 on two business orders and £60 on a little sideline which is lovely, some will be going towards this week’s shopping (doing tomorrow so need to do my meal plan in a min) and the rest going to my Next account. Will post my meal plan once the kids and I do it :)

Oh Pink, I feel for you, we’ve all had it here. Roo is home with it at the moment. I can’t tell you how much bleach I’ve gone through. Bless you x

I was just going to comment on your diary love! So sorry to hear Roo has it, I hope he’s feeling better very soon. It’s just awful, I’ve felt like I’m under house arrest too! My only contact to the outside world is through CBeebies :rotfl:

  • Hi all, happy Friday!

Little DS is much better today, he seems to have gotten over his bug very quickly :)
Went shopping today and includew everything needed for this week’s meal plan. I’m making a lot more meals from scratch, we’ve never bought ready meals but I’d been slipping into the habit of buying cooked chicken, baguettes etc for a quick dinner for the kids and DP, and then something else for me (I’m a fussy eater) because I hadn’t done a meal plan. I’ve been carving out some time to batch cook and it’s really helping, especially on the nights the kids are doing something after school. So my meal plan this week is:

    Meals for this week:
    Friday - Salmon & Veggies
    Saturday - Frittata
    Sunday - Cottage pie
Monday - HM Veggie soup and HM soda bread
Tuesday - Jacket potato beans and cheese
    Weds - Quesadillas
Thursday - Pesto chicken with roasted veggies
    Friday - Pasta bake

Unfortunately this week I’ve been feeling so nauseous, and have gone off a lot of foods. The only thing I really fancy to eat right now is Southern Fried Chicken which I haven’t eaten is 5 years!

Hope everyone has a great weekend x
