Boiler being a bit weird

My boiler the past couple of days has been firing up when it is turned off at the thermostat. When it does this I also hear gurgling noises in a couple of radiators. A guy came out today to look but because it was t happening st the time he was here has left not doing anything. I then remembered I took a video of it a couple of days ago. I sent him the video showing some lights flashing on it and you can hear the boiler making noises and water gurgling in the bathroom radiator. He said that it’s normal for the light to flash while and for a few seconds after hot water has been running. Only I hadn’t had any hot water running so I’m at a bit of s loss as to what to do now. Any suggestions on what it could be? Also am I able to attach videos on here for people to see what I mean?

Where is the boiler? Is it firing for frost protection?Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0

The boiler is upstairs in one of the bedrooms. I guess it could be but I am not sure it’s been cold enough for that to be happening. I guess I will just keep an eye out to see. When it was happening I felt no heat at all in the radiators but then I don’t suppose there would be much heat in them if it is just the frost protection kicking in !♀️0

Hence why I asked if it’s possible to upload videos to the forum since I last logged in to make things a lot easier all round but I’m guessing the answer is no?
The boiler is a Ferroli Modena 102. When it was firing up while turned off st the thermostat there was one fixed light to say the power is on and there was one flashing light which according to the guide means the central heating is on standby. Thanks for any help0 -
Does no one know or able to advise as what could be the problem? I’ve also noticed today my radiators are getting really hot (too hot to touch) which is unusual too. I am so annoyed with this is a rented property and this guy came out and will have told my landlord there is no issue when there clearly is so nothing is going to get done. And I feel now like I’m being treated as a stupid old woman when I know there is a problem! The light he said flashes when the hot water is on is next to the one that is actually flashing too. I’m worried with things going on when they shouldn’t and with the radiators getting hotter than they usually do that this is going to cost me extra money in gas/ electric because the boiler when the heating is switched on seems to be firing up every couple of minutes too which it wasn’t doing before either.0

Could be a faulty thermostat/timer.0

The central heating thermistor sensor in the boiler also acts as a frost protection, if this has gone faulty or out of calibration the heating will come on to protect itself. A possible explanation.0

Does the boiler have a hot water pre heat function (assuming its a combi)? If so then it may be that when you turn off the heating the boiler then goes back to preheating ready for hotwater.
What happens when you leave the boiler, does it then stop doing anything after a short time?
You can turn off the preheat function on most boilers as it wastes energy by always being ready to supply hotwater.I have a lot of problems with my neighbours, they hammer and bang on the walls sometimes until 2 or 3 in the morning - some nights I can hardly hear myself drilling0 -
I'm going with post #8I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
