Skoda Fabia suddenly developed some faults

I'm not sure if this is the right forum to be posting about this but here it goes, my skoda fabia(Automatic, 2010 model) was just fine yesterday but this morning there were two different warning lights: engine (yellow), ESP (yellow). The engine seems to have difficulty when idling, even if I'm not pressing the gas pedal the engine seems to be revving up a little bit and then the engine slows down (I think that's called hunting). Lastly, the car turned off a couple of times, and just before doing so the battery light came on as red.
I'm totally confused by what's happened to this car, I'd appreciate any advice.
