Camera Techie advice please, aspect ratio help

I have a basic understanding of digital cameras and have just tried to google 'aspect ratio' but the stuff that has come up is too technical for me. What I would like to know, is what setting should my camera be on when I always print out 7 x 5 photos (and sometimes 8 x 6) Is a setting of 4:3 the right one ? I will never…

Thanks for your advice Stompa, I have gone for smaller cards rather than one big one. I just don't have time (or the money) to get one of those storage devices, I leave in a couple of days now, but they do look good.
