Another example of how meaningless “credit scores” are

Logged onto all 3 of my credit files to find my credit score is “poor” and they recommend I should follow their “expert tips”on how to improve my score and get approved for credit. I have 19 credit cards, 9 mail order accounts, 2 overdrafts and over £65k of available credit. Yes, people will say that’s too many, but I manage them well and it’s my choice to have them.
So I applied for a Everyday credit card with Creation and was approved with £8k limit and also £3.5k interest free furniture finance from Oak Furniture Land, and I was also approved for store cards with Warehouse and Oasis before Christmas. So I’ve zero problems with obtaining credit, but according to the credit scores I’m on par with a bankrupt person.
Just passing on information, take these scores with a pinch of salt, it’s your history of behaviour that matters.

A search on the forums would have told you this without the need for another post on the subject being made0

To add to this, when I opened a joint account with my wife (at both our existing bank) the bank rep. said we needed to put one of us as the main account holder.
He reviewed his computer and told me I had the highest credit rating he'd seen but could he just check his records as he had that i was down as unemployed on his system (I last went in just after i had come back from a year travelling).
Conclusion - credit score means nothing.May you find your sister soon Helli.
