Repatriation Cover Only

Hi, I am in a break in my cancer treatment between radio therapy and an operation and wanted to take advantage while I am reasonably well for a short break in Europe (probably Spain) for 4-5 days. Been on so called specialist sites for travel insurance but current quote for 4 days cover £750 as treatment ongoing. Thinking about relying on EHIC together with emergency repatriation cover only. Macmillan quote in one of their leaflets that this can be obtained through a company called Swiss Assist Plus but I cannot find this Company online. Does anyone know if this company has folded? Can this type of cover be obtained on its own via any other Company? My normal multi -trip policy (via bank account) has excluded anything to do with my cancer diagnosis. Any help or information gratefully received.

Phone a broker, they'll know where to go.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0

The domain name still exists but diverts to the hosting company's server error page.
http://www.swissassistplus.com/en/services
so it looks like they've disappeared.
If you google medical repatriation insurance other alternatives are available. The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....0 -
Hi are you able to suggest any brokers. I tried a so called pre-existing conditions specialist broker but the £750 was the best quote they came up with. Thanks.0

Thanks any ideas who I can try. Everything I have looked at is part of a travel insurance policy. Most decline cover and the £750 was the cheapest I could get when I searched on a specialist site.0

You will not get this cover on line anywhere I suspect. You need to talk to a real human broker, either face to face or over the phone. Try P J Hayman, they only deal in travel cover and have specialists dealing with health issues, their number is 02392 419 070. Cannot guarantee they can quote because of your stage of treatment but I fear if they cannot, it may not be available. Good luck!0

Slight Hijack here from someone in Recovery and diagnosed free of pancreatic, spleen and lymph cancer. Thank you very much for the links, chasing them down now.
Ali 53, I sincerely hope that you have the same result as I and are eventually diagnosed as free of this awful disease.I think this job really needs
a much bigger hammer.
