  • Xiaomi now sell in the UK officially and you can get a mi A2 Lite from £179 for the 3/32GB version or just £20 extra for the 4/64GB version

Massive 4,000mAh battery that just lasts forever, I'm talking 9 or 10 days for a light user.

It's an Android One device and has just received the very latest Android Pie update (Android version 9).

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Android_One
Android One is a series of smartphones that run the unmodified Android operating system. It is a hardware and software technical standard created by Google intended to provide a consistent user experience and improved security through frequent updates and Google Play Protect. Android One was launched in 2014 and focused on entry-level devices for emerging markets, but later evolved into Google's principal mobile program.[1]
  • I've got a Moto G4 Plus which I've used for the last 2-3 years. Excellent value for money!

Since then they've released the G5 & G6 (and will shortly be releasing the G7) but the G4 has been fine for me.
  • I have a Samsung Galaxy A3, 2017 model. It'll be cheaper now the new phones are out. It's perfectly fine, the camera is good, has a slot for an SD card, you can change the settings and have all the photos taken to be saved directly on there, so they are always backed up and don't take up phone space. The battery life is amazing! I had an iPhone before this phone and didn't realise how bad the battery was until I switched.

I have the Moto G6 Play and would definitely recommend it.
I got one for SWMBO for Christmas and it's a nice device. Possibly not up to par with a 6S camera-wise though, but still a worthy option.

all above recs are good. But if you want a decent camera I would steer towards Huawei..........obviously the more you spend the better the camera.

    They use Leica lens

My Wife is very happy with her Moto G6. Good performance that won't break the bank.

If you don't go with a Samsung, make sure that you go with an Android phone that's branded with 'Android One'.
This will ensure you get updates etc quickly and give you a good Android experience.
