Can I argue that I'm not a first time buyer due to circumstances.

It's irrelevant in terms of your status as a FTB in for SDLT relief and HTB ISA or LISA bonus. Regardless of how short a time you were a home owner or the circumstances that lead to you no longer being a home owner, you are not a FTB. You can argue your point until you are blue in the face, it won't change your FTB status for government support.0 -

So there was no restraining order?
And you weren't ordered to leave?0 -
Never advisable to use your real name on public forums - especially if you say you have a restraining order on someone who's been stalking you and you're trying to avoid them. If it's not, just ignore me.Laurenalexbrown wrote: »As my ex had an affair, and then became threatening, verbally abuse and was stalking me. It was safer for me to live at home where I was not alone. Did he turn up after the restraining order? Who advised you to move out? You said you couldn't afford to stay, but he would have been obliged to contribute to you living there. Would affect his credit record too if you couldn't afford it alone.
Anyway, all irrelevant really as, as already stated, there's no way you can be a FTB again just because things went sour.2024 wins: *must start comping again!*0 -
The key bit is that some point (before restraining orders etc etc ) you sat in a conveyancer / solicitors office and willingly signed the forms to buy the house0
