Child benefit if total income is over £50k?

I've just got in from work and opened a letter from HMRC stating that we've been overpaid C/B because year ending 2017 my income was £56k. However that was because I drew down £10k from a pension. Should that have an effect on C/B?
TIA for any replies.

Assuming the drawdown wasn't part of the 25% tax free lump sum then you will by liable for the child benefit charge as your taxable income is over £50,0000
