You're not wrong. As is stated on this website, banks will hand you an umbrella, when it's sunny, and take it back when it's raining. Credit cards are best for people that don't actually need them.

But think about this way, if someone came to you and asked for money, with the promise that this would sort them out. Would you willingly lend to them, if you knew they already had debt trouble? Or would you be worried that they are just exacerbating the problem, and you won't see that money again?

It can seem like you're in a pit, that is getting deeper all the time, and all you need is a someone to give you a ladder. However, you do have a decent salary, even for London, and you can get out this. But it takes time and patience. It sounds like you won't get 0% deals, right now, so forget about those, and work on how you are going to pay current debt off without those offers.
Don't bury your head in the sand. Keep track of your total debt, your spending, and look to how you're going to improve it, month on month.
