Hi,
I have an Abbey National Credit card which is issued through MBNA.
I received a letter the other day offering me 0% on Balance Transfers until the 1st of August 2008 and the handling fee would be £3.00 minimum or 3% with no maximum.
I also have some other credit cards with MBNA and received an e-mail whilst I was away on holiday to do a balance transfer with no handling fees, but missed this offer as I was away.
When I got home I phoned them to see if they would still let me do it without any handling fees and on the different card. After speaking to a manager they did and lent me close to my credit limit and saved me £300
Glad I made the phone call now will put it in a high Interest account to hopefully earn me about £600.
Was well worth the phone call, you may wish to phone to see if your transfer fee can be waived or cut.
Hope this helps someone.:money:
