Late payment

Hi all
Hoping for some light to be shun here!
October 2018 I entered an arranged payment with my Barclay Loan. On my credit file for the month of October it states Arranged Payment, however for November it states Late payment.
Just after New Year I arranged for the loan to continue and for the months missed, they extended on to the loan. The direct debit is the same as it was when I took the loan out. However, they believe it will always show as arranged payment until the loan is complete.
My question and concern is - will having late payment take a hit on me? And will having arranged payment on my loan also take a hit on me?
Through October - December I was in constant contact with barclays updating them.
Thanks in advance

The arrangement will be more of a problem than the single late payment.
If the loan still has some time to run, it would be preferable to have a default, rather than months or years of an AP.
Alternatively, do whatever you can to get to pay off the arrears.0
