Council Housing bidding

Hi all,
I don't know is it the right section to post my query. As it's related to rent I am posting here..
Actually, I need some help on council housing bidding. At the moment I am bidding for local council housing for almost 4 years. My position in the waiting list looks like will get with 1/2 years. But, the problem my current private landlord served me section 21 to leave. No rent overdue. I am looking for house in local area as I am living here for a long time. But, as rent increased dramatically recently, it's hard to find any within my budget. I found a house from a friend of mine but in different council. So, If I move to that house, will I loose my current council waiting position ? Please note that my workplace also in the current council. I can tell them though, I am moving to new council, still I have a connection in this council.
I searched online, but couldn't find any answer on this issue. If you have any knowledge, will be very grateful if you share.
Thank you in advance !

If you have been served a section 21 let your local housing office know. BUT do not leave unless you have somewhere to go- you will count as voluntarily homeless. You will unfortunately need to force your landlord to apply to the court for eviction.
Where you work, will not impact where you can apply for housing.
People travel to work. It is very reasonable for you to live in one council and work in a neighbouring council.
You don't have a specific position, you have a band (here initial band is always 4, band 1 is homeless. If you move into your friend's house, your band will be 4.Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.0 -
Hi, I’m in a similar situation, my section 21 is up next week and my landlord won’t give us more time due to wanting to start building works on the house!
My mum said we can go live with her but it’s a 2 bedroom cottage and I’ve got a partner and 2 children.
If I go live with my parents, will I loose my priority band on the council list as we have somewhere to go?
Sorry to jump on your post but can’t seem to find anywhere to make a new thread/post
