Window advise for leaseholder

Can anyone tell me as a leaseholder of a flat if I am responsible for fixing the sash window's woodern frame which is starting to rot? This is despite telling the freeholder time and time again to paint the woodern frame.
You advise would help as it is costing a lot to fix the sash windows.

Depends on the lease you need to look at yours but most long term type leaseholders are usually responsible for keeping the structure of the property in good order. If that is the case then it would be your responsibility to fix it. The exception to this may be if you pay vast sums in ground rent to a management company which seems to be the trend these days :eek:0

get all the leaseholders together and you are allowed to manage the maintenance yourselves now.
most terms allow for all the common areas to be maintained by the freeholder/management company. and the main structure ie the walls and roof esp. depends entirely on the lease if the windows come under the same terms?Get some gorm.0
