Standing Order Inflexibility
Options

Clydesdale Bank's new online banking platform no longer allows payments to be made on last Friday of month. My church has been paying wages on that date with them for many years.
Is the withdrawal of that facility just another of Clydesdale's shortcomings with that platform or is this inability common now in the banking sector?

It's not uncommon, but it's not universal. Lloyds and Halifax have a very limited number of options for paying standing orders and these don't include the last Friday of the month either. Barclays, on the other hand, has loads of options, covering every permutation you can think of.0

Thanks
Does anyone know about HSBC, Santander, Bank of Scotland or Virgin Money?0 -
Can they not change to paying on 28th of the Month? The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.0

Could they be set up as faster payments using Internet banking?
It would be a lot more work for you as you would have to manually enter and make the payments yourself.
Post #4 seems to have a sensible solution.0 -
28th or other date is likely to be chosen by the church. Many thanks.0
