European and UK NCD

Hi,
Searched high and low but not really insurance savvy.
I’ve earnt 5 years NCD with a European policy which has been accepted by my new insurer.
I’m nearly due for policy renewal but can’t access my NCD info until the policy is either renewed or cancelled.
Will the previous 5 years earnt on a European policy be merged with the new 1 year NCD earnt with my new insurer? Ie would I have 6 NCD with my insurers stamp of approval or would it remain a widely unaccepted european 5 and a 1 year NCD?

If you used your 5 years European NCD on a UK insurer, they'll now give you 6 years UK NCD. That's the norm anyway.You'll find me sat in the corner with a pack of dry roasted and a Guinness.0
