You have to remotely link to one. You will need to upload a picture to your favourite hosting site.

As a new user you probably won't be allowed to post a link. If you can't then change http to hxxp and post a link for someone to convert.

Save pic/photo to your desktop

go to :https://postimages.org/
click 'Choose Images' - pics on your desktop should appear
click the pic you want - then click 'OPEN'
A menu appears - First on menu is 'LINK' - click the corresponding icon on right hand side. Should say 'Copied'
Paste the link into your forum post.

*As a new user you can't post pics, so delete HTTPS:// from the link.

I know people get compo weary on this board, but I'd say OP is at least entitled to the difference between the cost of heating with electric and heating with gas. They are suffering a loss due to (if the as-yet anecdotal evidence of two separate gas engineers is correct) the original builders negligence.

Of course it still depends on whether that amount is actually worth pursuing, but at this time of year, depending on how long it takes to resolve could start to add up, especially if the cold snap meteorologists have been threatening for the last couple of weeks actually occurs.

True, but it would be down to the OP to minimise their losses. I suppose she could take last year's kwh gas consumption and equate it to electricity at today's prices but that wouldn't take into account ambient temperatures, etc. More likely is that she could push for a one-off payment to cover the assumed extra cost of providing heating and hot water.

Those joints are heavily rusted but I think I can put your mind at rest over any danger. The worst that will happen is a slight leak from those joints. All the nonsense about sun beaming on them and the whole flat being at risk is sensational talk from a tradesman overdramatising things.

Though they look bad, with the thickness of those metal fittings, they're not going to rust through any time soon. Surface rust.
