Carers allowance

Hi new to the forum, have been on universal credit since may last year, have just been placed into the support group for the universal credit version of Esa, I was getting carers allowance for my daughter who has autism and severe learning difficulties, but when I was placed in support group had carers credit removed so cancelled my claim for carers allowance, as I was told that I'm not allowed to be a carer now, is this correct?

It seems that in your situation you cannot claim the carers element.
If you claimed CA on its own you would not be better off as this would be treated as income £ for £.0 -
It seems there is a 'disabled child element' of UC, (if your daughter is still a child and on DLA/PIP), are you getting this? It's not difficult!
