Missing cotbed

I purchased a cotbed from a company online, on 02/03/2019. It should’ve been here the next day. The thing is is that the mattress arrived and no one seems to know where the cotbed is. I’ve contacted the seller and courier but they don’t seem to have any idea where my cotbed is. I’ve asked if a replacement can be sent out but this isn’t an option so I asked for a refund... again not an option! I have to wait a maximum of 5 days so a full parcel search can be done, only then if the cotbed isn’t found will they send a replacement, if the courier admit liability. My daughter is 16 weeks old and her Moses basket is getting too small, I need this cotbed. I’m really frustrated. I don’t know what else to do, can anybody offer any advice please?
Thanks Sarah

Let them complete the parcel search and then enjoy the replacement.

Your daughter will be fine for a couple more days.

  • I don’t understand why they can’t send a replacement one and then if the other one turns up return it to the sender? It’s unfair when it was supposed to be with me the next working day. It could take over another week for them to admit that the cotbed has actually gone

You ordered it on the 2nd, and on the 3rd it didnt arrive, so of course you contacted them.

It is now the 8th. You say they said you had to wait a maximum of 5 days before they will send a replacement, which is... now?
  • I have to wait for the courier to conduct a full parcel search which will take a maximum of 5 working days... the search only started yesterday. After that an investigation will take place and the courier will have to admit liability for misplacing/losing it... in the meantime I have a 16 week old daughter who’s getting too big for her Moses basket. The company refuse to give me a refund or send a replacement. It’s so frustrating

I would be asking why the search only started yesterday when you reported it on the 3rd, the day after the supposed delivery (assuming you did indeed contact them on the 3rd...)
  • I asked the same question yesterday, when I contacted them.
Yes I contacted them on the 3rd and again on the 4th. They advised me on the 4th that the search had started. But yesterday when I contacted them they said the search had started yesterday due to the backlog of Christmas and new year. I’ve put in a complaint with both the company and courier and I’ve not heard anything

I know it is frustrating, but your daughter is not suddenly going to be too big for her moses basket in the next 5 days.

Let them complete the search, will will take a MAXIMUM of 5 days, so could be 1, 2 or 3, but not necessarily 5, and then see what they say.
  • Still no cotbed.. still won’t refund or send a replacement

At some point you might need a travel cot - might be the time to buy one to use now if moses basket getting too small??

DD moved out of her cot at about 10 months as her legs kept getting stuck between the bars - she seemed to like the travel cot and stayed in it until she got a proper bed (well opened up sofa bed at first, much nearer the floor when she rolled out)
