Reconfirming flight with emirates

Do you need to reconfirm flights 72 hrs before travelling with Emirates? Tickets bought from STA travel and it is recommended you do. Have emailed emirates no reply yet. The info I got from the web there is no need to. Thanks

It must have been two decades since I last reconfirmed a flight with the airline. When agents recommend reconfirming a flight they usually just mean that you confirm the flight hasn't been schedule changed. Check in online if possible, that will show your intent to travel to Emirates.0

You can check things using the Manage a Booking facility on their website. It's always handy to check this occasionally anyway in case there's been any changes that haven't been communicated to you. You can also select a special meal if required here.
At 48 hours to go you can check in on line, select/change seats and that's all you really need to do.0
