Exactly like the linked posts and threads, a typical PCM special. Easy to defend but a pain to get rid of! This sort of predatory PCN should be illegal, but it's not.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Doing nothing is not a good idea either, especially if bylaws don't apply. You probably mean well, but dealing with this now is easier than trying to do it in court later, or moving house then finding later you have a CCJ against you because you lost a court case you didn't know about.

Thanks for your "well meaning" , given the fact its gone to DRP there is nothing else the "RTK/Driver/Debtor" can do at this stage.

PCM from what i know don't have sites which contain bylaw provisions, so i not exactly sure what you hope to gain at this stage

Does this mean it could be risky ignoring?

No you can safely ignore letters from Debt Recovery Plus or Zenith. should you get any letters from Gladstones solicitors then come back and we can tell you if its a letter before claim or just a further letter on the instruction of DRP. Normally if the letter from Gladstones tells you to pay to DRP then its just part of the letter chain , but you can check here for peace of mind :)

Risky? How? Can I ask, have you read what I posted?

PCM don't win cases like this when defended!

There is also NO RISK of any CCJ or anything at all, as long as PCM have your current address, so that they can't send a claim via Gladstones to an old address. Make sure for 6 years you keep them updated before the case times out, or if you get a claim, come back here and defend it and win, like 99% of posters do.

All cases v PCM have been won in recent years here.

Thank you so much for all your time and help reviewing my post and guiding me. Unfortunately I give up and will pay the debt collectors. Being a doctor is stressful and this has been adding a significant amount of stress/anxiety when I want to be able to fully focus on my work, as well as consuming time i don't really have. Doesn't make it fair for everyone else getting caught out and I cannot believe this is continuing despite virtually all cases being a scam and disputes eventually being won.

I know this will frustrate many of you and I am sorry. I just had to prioritise my sanity through this. Any advice on anything I can do at this stage other than write to the MP?
  • Yes the advice is don't pay it !!!
Why would on earth would you pay DRP when you have no need. The letters don't mean anything and your safe to ignore them

Asking us what else you can do if your going to roll over is beyond foolish
  • Ps you can't be a very good doctor if this stresses you and you can't cope with it.
