It is pure luck but I would focus my time on competitions that don't include daily entries (so ignore the Click2Wins and the Mag Dailies, unless you finish entering all the other competitions then you can enter them) That way if you only enter the competitions where everyone has one chance to win, you all have an even amount of chance of winning.
Enter local competitions - follow or search for local facebook pages, instagram pages, twitter pages etc. If they are local and need collection a lot less people will enter as they may not be local.
Effort - If competitions require you to make up a caption or add a photo and they select the winner from the best. Like furry Friday (which is where you upload your small animal photo and they select their favourite to win some pet treats)
I find most of my wins come from Rafflecopter or Gleams - You can see the amount of entries into them and have a chance of entering them by doing certain tasks. Some people avoid these as they take a little longer but you get a better result in my experience.
Otherwise just enter as many as you can and want to - I join the yearly challenge to help me enjoy competitions, you are welcome to join if you haven't already. https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/75281606#Comment_75281606
Good Luck!Thank you to everyone who posts competitions and good luck to everyone who enters.0 -
I am not as active as I was re comping due to work but still use the idea of " enter & forget".
Do not get hung up on wins but just enjoy the hobby. In my early days in circa 2008 I won two very nice holidays plus I like posting the odd comp.0 -
Love the idea of this thread .0

I agree with missing out the daily entries (like mag dailies, click to wins) unless you finish entering others. Your time will be much better spent looking for some lower entry and local competitions.
Do you have any kind of comping routine? are you entering ones that are ending soon? if not there may still be a lot of competitions still to end. Thanks to everyone that posts :T:money:

I'm feeling the same recently, haven't won anything for a few months and I'm starting to think maybe I've been blacklisted for being a comper or something... I'm sure that's not true but it sure feels it sometimes! I'm just trying to continue to enter comps and forget about them, and hope for the best.0

I've not won since September, but three months without a win is not uncommon so I'm not worried just yet.0

I enter over 1,000 a week and I've not won anything in over 6 months.Thank you all who post.0

My last competition win was June 2017, I try to enter at least 10 a day. No big wins over the past four years of comping, just a handful of small things (boxer shorts, soup, dvd's)
Lucky I only do it to pass some time, or mayby lucky isn't a word I should use lol. Just in it for the fun.0 -
I spend at least 90 mins a day on competitions (often more) every single day and often go 6 months without a win so it’s purely luck. I have had some lovely prizes along the way which spurs me on to keep going but in my experience it’s normal to go for months with nothing.
Hope your luck changes soon.0
