Best way to sell your car
I want to sell my 2016 reg Renault twingo, 19200 miles on the clock full service history. It’s in immaculate condition. I want roughly £5500 for it, most dealers are offering me £4900 but I want to try sell privately for a bit more before resorting to selling at the lower price. Is eBay or autotrader good selling sites? I’m willing to pay the fee but just wished I could pay IF I sold not regardless. With my car, price which should I try ?

Dont bother, just trade it in. For £600 is it worth the effort?
Buyers are likely to knock you down to less than £5000 anyway, unless you find the buyer that knows nothing about cars and your close.
Dealers listing them for £5500 so your going to struggle with a private sale.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
I don’t want to trade it though as I’m moving abroad so need to sell0

Same difference, just take a trader offer for it, less hassle and more certainty. Or try WBAC (or similar), but they may offer less than a dealer.0

Don't include that in advert, whether innocent or not, appears dodgy.
As others have said for the difference in selling private, take the offer you have had, as time comes closer to emigrate, then you may have no choice but to take a low offer, also selling for a friend appears dodgy.

As mentioned by other posters for the convenience vs the cost and hassle of listing for sale elsewhere you might be as well to take the dealer offer.
From what I've seen eBay buyers tend to want bargains only, can't really comment on Autotrader as I've only really used it when looking for specific cars/models that are more unusual.0 -
Where do you get the 5.5m valuation there's twingo's on sale 1 yr newer than yours with 15k for 5.5k from a dealership. No way you'll get anyone buying yours for more.0

I'd take the hit and sell it to the dealer for £4900, it's just easier.
Depending on how tight you are on time, you can always list it on gumtree/autotrader and then sell it to the trader/WBAC if it's still there a week before you leave. But if you can buy one from a dealer for £5500 you're probably going to be taking closer to £5000 anyway.0 -

Presumably different models in the range? I see theres a PLAY model which seems entry level and also various engine options, so i'd suggest the O/P's isnt an entry level lowest spec one.0 -
Why does it matter where it goes to? Any dealer who stocks similar will give you a trade bid for the car to stock the car and retail it.
If you're getting bids of £4900 i'd let it go.
I think the OP assumed that 'trade it' was shorthand for 'trade it in part exchange for another car'.0
