Hi, I think my previous post makes it straightforward and easier to understand now
Thanks for your reply
Not really, your first post has him breaking hard which caused him to slip.
Version 2 you have him 'automatically exceeding the speed limit causing him to fall over'
Spot the difference.0 -

Sorry to confuse you. He tried to overtake me (he was tailgating me), exceeded the speed limit, saw that he could not overtake and there was a island in the middle, he panicked, braked hard (he only has a cbt he is not an experienced rider) lost control of the bike and he fell over.0 -

All of that may well be true, but it doesn't absolve you of a share of the blame for taking contradictory actions and then not responding to the situation that had developed by slowing to allow the bike to overtake safely.0 -
Sounds like another biker trying to go too fast for the road conditions. Judge may favour you, the biker, or go 50/50, without any witnesses the default should be 50/50 unless either party admits fault.Make £2018 in 2018 Challenge - Total to date £2,1080

The bike was aggressively trying to overtake me, last thing i remember seeing is his headlights literally very very close to my car. As far as I know you need to leave atleast one cars length when overtaking. He was within touching distance. And how much more do I have to slow down to let him through? Could this not be a hazard to the cars behind me if i suddenly slow down to let and aggressive motorcyclist through?
Thanks,

No less of a hazard of someone indicating to pull in then changing your mind.0

Well I didn't really change my mind, my car simply could not fit in to the parking space, and I turned my indicators off, and as stated before I turned my indicator off a few yards before I even reached the parking space. As soon as I turned my indicators off he slipped. To be fair, his slip happened as soon as I turned my indicators off, thus I don't even think it's because of me turning off my indicators. If you would like to see where the accident happened, you can type in "Dicle Finchley" and the first image on google maps is exactly where the accident happened going towards the island and junction.
Thanks,

You changed your mind because your car wouldn't fit.
Ask yourself what you would do if the car in front of you was slowing down with it's indicators on?0 -

I would wait atleast 5/6 seconds before overtaking it or I would wait so the car is atleast stopped or is going like 5mph not 15-25mph, and if there is a junction ahead and the car is in the middle of the road, I wouldn't overtake the car at all. Would you do something different?0
