Hotpoint electric oven cutting out

Hi all
Need some help with something please. My Hotpoint oven Model no.SH 53 S X keeps cutting out mid cook.
When this happens everything shuts down including the timer until it cools down a bit and switches back on.
Sounds like a thermostat issue but looking around the net looks like there are two types of thermostat.
Anyone had the same issue that can advise which of the two I will need to replace? If it is indeed the thermostats at fault?
