Best option for fixing car lock
Hi All
My car was broken into last week and the driver side lock has been damaged so I cant open it or close it from the outside. I wondered what the most cost efficient way would be to replace the lock rather than going to the main dealer, there is no fob to open, its key opening only with central locking. The other doors still open and close with key in passenger side, is it possible to just change one lock or more likely that I would need to change all?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Bob

You can change one lock and live with different keys for the locks or pay an auto locksmith to make up a lock to the pattern of the key, then they will all match. Anything is possible depending on how much you want to pay.0

If I were you I would change all the locks. If your is a common car, you should be able to obtain a set for a reasonable price from a scrap car dealer."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

Well the key would be different to the ignition then so still saddled with two keys.
Unless you mean change that as well but then dont forget the immobiliser, and ecu; they are all matched these days.0
