    I have a satmap 10 my battery lasts 12hrs no problem

    I also carry a spare fully charged battery takes 5 mins to swap over

    I can see the use as a backup to a map but I suppose it's a sign of the times that requiring technology (which can break, lose signal, lose charge etc etc) as your kit rather than a map backup is now mandatory.
