Hi, new to the forum so here goes...

Switched to Green Energy Network in November. Email today asking for meter readings, but their page for this just refuses to accept the (perfectly normal) readings, putting up instead an incomplete and therefore meaningless sentence as an error message.

Tried phoning their 0800 number three times. Longest I put up with awful music and the same message repeated every few seconds was just over 12 minutes, so hung up (the old chestnut of "...we are experiencing unusually high call volumes..")

Eventually found their 'contact us' page and left the readings there. Acknowledgement email said they will answer in up to 7 days.

Has anyone else experienced difficulty with this supplier please? If this is typical of their service then I won't be hanging around until the end of the 2-year fix![/I][/I][/B][/U][/I][/I][/I]

    I'm sorry to hear you had some trouble with reaching us recently, we have been receiving a higher than usual volume of correspondence by both phone and email over the festive period and so we appreciate that unfortunately, it can take us a bit longer than usual to answer.

  • Had a phone call today (was changed to them just under a month ago) just at tea time, asking me to read my meter, there and then and give a reading over the phone. My meters are outside in the garage, not easillyacessible so I refused. I offered toi read them and post online but that was not acceptable. The lady said she would call back later. Yes about an hour later she did and I had broken off eating to go and get the readings.



    I have no problem with giving readings, once a week if you are that desperate to check up, but I would like some notice. Why was it not acceptable for me to add them on line. Why did you not email a few days ago telling me you wanted readings by phone and giving me some time to do it at my leisure or ask me to post readings.


    At the moment even my wife is complaining that you want readings so soon and by phone and without any notice, and she never complains. Seems to be a very user unfriendly firm so far and I agree with op, continue like this and I shall not be here for two years whatever it costs me. Though do it again like that and you can send a meter reader round.
  • Sent me my first statement iuncluding the bill in PDF. But will not open, I suspect this is a comic outfit.
