Hi everyone I'm after some advice went to view a property and fell in love with it, it's being marketed with two agents my question is is it legal and OK for us to put the same offer in with both agents? The house has been part exchanged by the vendor and is being sold by the builder of there new home, my worry is that if we place an offer with only one of the agents and the other agent gets there offers to the builder before the other agent they may just take the first offer that recoups there money and we would miss out help please

DO NOT OFFER WITH BOTH AGENTS. If you offer with both agents, both will be entitled to claim their fee off the seller, which means the seller will likely reject you out of hand unless you are willing to cover one set of fees.
The decision of whether or not to accept an offer lies with the seller, not with their agents, no matter how many they have. Contact ONLY ONE agent (do not in any way communicate with the other) and make your offer through them. Don't worry about delays, both agents will know they are in competition with each other and so will be doubly keen to get your offer across as soon as possible.0 -
You should offer through the agent that showed you the house also..0

Perfectly legal I believe. I've yet to hear of a buyer being imprisoned or fined for doing this.Lozvwlandy wrote: »it's being marketed with two agents my question is is it legal and OK for us to put the same offer in with both agents?
OK? No - All that happens is that the 2 agents both claim commission off the seller who will solve this dilemma by rejecting your offer and selling to someone who causes them less trouble and expense.0
