Hi all,
thank you for your previous responses. I have completed a search on the 'sticky' thread and cannot see any reference on what to do if the response to an appeal is via email and not in writing. Obviously, the template that was submitted had the line "note that service of any legal documents by email is expressly disallowed".
The response states that they want the full name and address of the driver. Later on it contains the paragraph - "Failure to provide this information will give us no alternative other than to make our final decision based on the previous information received. At this stage a POPLA verification code will be provided." So, as far as I can see their response has only generated a reference number and not a POPLA verification code.
Sorry if this is covered, but as mentioned I have searched the thread and not found what I was after.
Many thanks in advance of your response0 -
It is their usual phishing letter, they are trying to trick you into giving them the name of the driver. Ignore it. As I said earlier, they are fraudsters. They will send a PoPLA code when they realise that their bluff has failed.
Have you contacted your MP yet?You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
Ok great, thank you.
No. I must admit that is one thing I didn't do. I have just read your post back. I will do that asap. I assume my local MP and not the MP where the parking ticket was issued?0 -
Why not complain to both?0

Yeah, would make sense0
