  • Update. Not a good one.

Lloyd’s did a payment trace. Got it in black and white. It’s been sent and received.

Bad news is that N26 are saying they don’t have it. I’ll paste what the advisor said.

I have just been told by my colleague that we have not received the money from the sending bank yet. As you have sent through the payment investigation I would like to submit further investigation into this. As this may take some time I am happy to get back to you via email later on if that is ok?

    What do I do now

As mentioned earlier in the thread, N26 is not a clearing bank, meaning that they are using another bank to process transactions. That is probably where the money is held up.

You are absolutely sure the payment was sent to the correct sort code and account number, yes?
  • But smaller payments don’t go through the same process ?
  • Further update.

    The money has landed

Back into my partners account. With reference. Not provided ?

At least it’s back. But Jesus what a rollercoaster

Smaller payments do go through the same process, but as has been mentioned several times, any payment can be subject to delays for a number of reasons including random checks.
    Further update.

That's good news, but perhaps you should consider opening an account for your business with a bank that has a nearby branch for cash deposits.

That sounds as if an incorrect sort code and/or account number was used for the payment? Did your smaller, successful, payment use the same payee?
    With reference. Not provided ?
What do you mean by that?
  • Yes exactly the same. Just clicked on her saved payee and sent the money.

    God knows what happened.
