Just filmed a fireworks display but i had to do it sideways to fit it in, how do i rotate it in media player? i have googled it and it says use movie maker which i did, but it won't let me save it back as an avi file, and i don't want to download something just to rotate 1 video..any ideas?

Yep, do as Donnie says. You didn't want to install another program but I think you'll have to.
You can save in WMM as a DV-AVI file* but it bloats the edited file considerably. I tried with a 5 sec 2.25Mb AVI video - the resultant file after rotation/saving was a whopping 17.2Mb! G
*WMM > Save Movie File > ....Movie Setting > Other settings > Select DV-AVI (PAL).....0
