    Hi everyone
Good new from DD....there is a bed for her at same hospital as baby so she is waiting for ambulance to take her. Shes in pain this morning but has catheter and drips out and is dying to see her baby!
Baby has had a really good night and they are hoping to take her breathing tube out and put her on a different machine where she gets oxygen when she needs it rather than all the time.
Ive been for coffee with mam and dad this morning this morning and I'm going down to DDs house to see if there's anything in her fridge needs throwing out. She left for her appointment on Monday morning and never made it back!

That all sounds really positive dp1, great news. My tiny little premature baby is 27 now.

I've been shopping and got a pile of books from the CS and more yarn for the trauma teddies.

I need to take the Dec's down but am not convinced that I want to, I might keep just one string of lights, I am very fond of a fairy light or 7.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back

Morning! oops, Afternooning! Didn't phone yesterday, I wallowed in a pit of misery, well, not really misery, just grumpiness I think. Today I am all get up and go, mostly to the kitchen to do the dishes and the washing but hey, its moving...
The fire is lit, and burning away merrily, I couldn't be @rsed to clean the glass so I've put it on volcano heat to burn the soot off. As a result, I'm sweating in a shirt but I can fool myself I've been excercising!Little prince has been in, eaten, watched cat tv, is now sniffing some other cats poo in the garden.

This afternoon a friend is having a bbq, the friend does the best barbecues ever [ think Brazillian food] none of your cheapo burger and sausages. Will have to take some suitable booze for thanks because I aniticipate eating rather a lot and drinking rather a lot [the suns not out but the rum is].
Have discovered [not surprsingly] that my weight has shot up, so I will be joining in the heathy food dieting starting Monday, but this weekend there will be an absence of anything approaching good sense. See you all on the flip side of indigestion and general bleurghiness :)

Good news dp1. Oh dumpling, how cra@p for you. Hope you do better at home. I know what you mean about resting in hospital, there uually isn't any, hope you sort your diet out and mitigate efeects of your ailments. Nelski, I still have a packet in the freezer. Also have some bacon left over from the pigs in blankets...that could be tomorrows tea :) AOD, so thoughtful! made me snort coffee. Gers, enjoy resting in your new chair, with added fire cosiness and tartan carpet [love it!] tru, I've been thinking about your coat, well, scamps coat [it's not as if you get a wet belly when you go for a walk is it?]. Someone asked me to make one for their dog, a springer, keeps geting her belly wet, and I took the measurements thinking I had some waterproof stuff, but I'd given it away. However [ to the point dimwit!] I was thinking you could have one made that fitted underneath scamp, and velcroed on the side with elasticated sides for behind the front legs, while leaving the back end underneath exposed. How big is scamp? SO, hope the mommy dearest visit goes well. JankieO, you're still moving at a hundred miles an hour I see.

Anyway, happy weekend first day and sending sandman javelins...

My day so far has been really productive! Makes a change I can hear myself say.

    • Vacuumed out the woodburner and set it up ready to go
    • Took down my Christmas branch, put it in the back garden and put the decorations away in the little barn
    • Sorted out the bouquet of flowers I was given for Christmas
    • Took the rubbish and recyling to the tip
    • Posted two letters
    • Bought a cauliflower and lemons
    • Did a washing load and hung it up in the spare room

My aim was to buy some leeks, however the shop only had pre-packaged and trimmed ones, highly expensive so I swerved to cauliflower.

I'm watching The Lady Vanishes, will light the wood soon and have some tea. That'll be me for the day I think.
  • Evening all. My day sort of didn't go to plan. My friend rang just as I was going through the door to catch the bus to town, so back in I came and missed it!

She mentioned that the mobile hairdresser (that I also used to have until about 10 years ago!) was coming to cut her hair this afternoon. I leapt in and said will you ask her if she will start doing mine again. Of course she said but that meant I couldn't go into town!

But all was not lost as DS rang to check I was in if he called on his way home from work. He was coming by way of the sm and was there anything I wanted. So he got a small list! Now stocked up with F & v & milk so there was no need to go in town after all!

I was happy with the way she cut my hair and am now back to my usual urchin cut instead of resembling a haystack on legs. I shall stick with her now and get back to regular trims again to keep my wayward hair looking decent and easier to manage.

I am half heartedly with the weight loss brigade after all my excessive comfort and Christmas eating. I haven't dared get on the scales but there's no need as my clothes are telling me all I need to know!

Have a nice evening people xx

What a good surprise TA, well done on the hair cut, I always feel unkempt when my hair is like a birds nest.

I've just had a really lovely, peaceful and calm evening, the first since probably June last year. The woodburner is steaming away, I reclined on my new chair with my feet up and just enjoyed watching Fantastic Beasts. It'll be a one off I'm sure though it has refreshed me. No wine, too cold to go outside to the little barn and I didn't fancy a G&T.
