Blocked pipes leading to maccerator.

Hi can anybody recommend a solution I can pour into my shower drain to unblock a pipe shared by the sink that leads to a saniflo plus?
At the moment the sink is draining into the shower tray- the shower itself drains very slowley. The saniflo guy recommended their descaler and cleanser solution- which I’ve used and there seems to be a bit more movement but I don’t think this stuff disolves hair. I’m a bit nervous to just chuck some drain unblocker down there incase I end up damaging the saniflo. Any recommendations welcome.

    hope it helps
Thats a good idea thanks muchly.. 😊
  • We have a macerator directly connected to the toilet and it also serves a shower and a sink.
We have a (one way)n valve fitted between the shower and sink which stops waste water from the sink entering the shower when the sink is being emptied.

We had a similar problem as you have described and we replaced this valve as it was sticking in the 'open' position.

Although you haven't mentioned anything about a valve. perhaps this is what's happening in your case.
