Parking ticket for not displaying disabled badge

Have read the FAQs but could not see anything regarding this, apologies if I have missed anything.
A family member recently received a parking ticket from UKPC for not displaying disabled badge in a retail car park. (The badge had fell off the dashboard onto the floor of the car).
Would you recommend that they appeal this as they have a valid badge or just ignore it?
Thank you in advance for any advice.

IGNORE would be a stupid thing to do
they should complain to the landowner and get it cancelled
and they should appeal the postal PCN on day 25 if the landowner fails to cancel it, by following the advice in the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread, appealing as KEEPER and using the blue text appeal
the BB isnt valid on private land, its the EA2010 that covers them, not the BB0 -
Appeal using the blue text initial appeal template around day 26 if all that has so far been received is a windscreen ticket. You can add the following sentenceAn occupant of the vehicle on the day in question is a blue badge holder, and a copy of the blue badge is attached so that you know, under the Equality Act 2010, that the disabled person in the vehicle had every right in law to utilise the disabled bay. Your cancellation of the parking charge is now expected within the next 14 days. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Thanks, they received the Notification letter through the post dated 27/12/18 and the windscreen ticket was issued on 29/10/180 -
so they possibly failed POFA2012 as well , as it should have arrived by day 56
use the blue text template and add what Umkomaas said above0 -
It is possible that person or persons unknown bounced up and down on the car with malice aforethought to dislodge the badge.
UKPC were previously caught doctoring time stamps on their photo' "evidence".
I am not suggesting that the former scenario is any way related to the latter.
UKPC signs do not usually meet the requirements of the BPA CoP.
By counting on my fingers, I make the NTK too late to transfer liability to the keeper. It is imperative therefore that the driver's identity is not revealed.
Follow the advice above to send the initial blue template from post 1 of the NEWBIES, then kill this at PoPLA. Do not wait until day 25/26. That only applies where no NTK has been received following a windscreen ticket, which the regulars didn't know when you first posted.
The Keeper should complain to the landowner and their MP about this unregulated scam.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.
