Land registration is not "finders keepers"! For a first registration, you need proof of your ownership, e.g. deeds.0

Presumably your parents do have deeds to their property?
Are you saying that your parents want to give you their property?
You mention that your parents are elderly - is the idea that if they give you their property they would avoid any care home fees that might become payable?

Perhaps you should consider getting your life in order. Standing on your own two feet. moving out and buying your own home as a FTB.It has been discovered my elderly parents mid 1950's house, which they built, is not registered with the land registry.
In no way unusual.
There is no mortgage on it.

No, of course not. It belongs to your parents.
I am their only child ( now middleaged!) who lives with them as full time carer.
So what? You think that entitles you to take ownership of... their home? their life savings? Their car? Their ....... everything?
My father bought a small area of neighbouring land from the council to extend the garden which was registered in his name only.
How is that relevant?
I do not own another property. .
If, in time, your parents die, and choose to leave you their Estate in their wills, that is a matter for them. They may or may not do this.0
