I've bought some gold coloured serviettes from Asda and am going to put the scratch card (like the idea of the gold one), choc coins and some Elizabeth Shaw gold wrapped after dinner mints in one of those & tie it up so it looks like a bad with points sticking up. Hopefully it'll fit in a wine glass & can then also be used as a napkin for the meal as well.

Not actually tried it yet (in fact came across this thread whilst searching for the poem) so not sure if it'll work. Fingers crossed!

Thanks all, I'll try Tesco for the organza bags or boxes which both sound good. If not, I'll do Sally's Savings' suggestion of the gold pen on glasses and try and find my artistic side!

I'll also use the second poem (thanks again Sally's Savings), I'm sure my MIL will love it!

On the scratchcard point, I saw some scratchcards in my local Post Office a few weeks ago actually called 'pots of gold'. I'll be going back a bit nearer to Christmas to get them.

    Thanks all!
