    My bank sent me a letter with an offer of a pre-approved CC, I didnt have to do anything except say yes and it arrived shortly after.

    So 100% yes having a long term relationship with a bank and they may give you offers or services that others would not.

  • Indeed, it’s my main account. The account balance always sits around £5,000 in credit with the rest being shipped to the linked savings account.

    I would leave more in the main account but I worry in case of fraud etc.

    Sometimes I wonder if my limited history is worse than having a bad history.

    On the plus side Newday just gave a credit card increase.
  • I wouldn’t get an overdraft to assist with your credit history.

    Carry on using the CC you have.
