Cycling Holiday

Planning to go holiday with the bicycles this year somewhere in france either the Auvergne region or LImousin region.
questions are could anybody recommend either of the regions and the best way of getting there. live near Southampton and have looked at flying out with the bikes but not sure if Flybe charge extra for the bikes?
any comments on travelling with bikes or eithe of the regions would be greatly received.
