Hi everyone, I have just done an online application for a new FD account and switch into the new account, been accepted and await the next steps.
Can anyone with recent experience give me an idea of what is likely to happen next, and in what timescales before I receive the new account details please?

Hi harz99,
All I remember is their being a lot of paperwork and the need to sign and return some of it before the account opens. A few weeks basically.I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.

Do you need to switch an account with DDs and SOs set up on it?[STRIKE]Total debt 1.11.10 £23,446[/STRIKE]Save £6k in 2015 #129 £6121.66/£6000Save £6k in 2016 #39 £6000/£60000

TONS of paperwork. So much junk mail when we switched its madness.
Remember the old phone books, you get several packages like that dropping through the letterbox with the terms and conditions.
They also kept telling me the switch was on hold until they verified the wifes identity, yet the switch still went through on the original date.
Other that being a pain for the wife to contact them and the FD account not showing on her credit file its been fine.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
