Hello all.
My name is João and I just got a UKCPM PCN.
Here are the details:
I got issued on 04/01/2019 at 00:14 (??!!)
The van was parked in a VISITOR bay, which does not require UKCPM permit but it requires a scratchcard (in this case HARCA/POPLAR scratchcard)
The van is not mine; I'm working for this company which is hiring PROHIRE
There are 5 car spaces and 1 visitor bay. Of those 5 car spaces, 4 were in use. 3 had no UKCPM permit HOWEVER they did not get a PCN, not to mention they have been parked in the very same spot for months I believe. (I was the only one getting a PCN AND was the only one parked in a visitor bay, don't know if it's relevant).
I had already applied for a UKCPM permit in early December. No response so far (so I'm asking to pay for a bay, they won't grant me a permit. Instead they prefer PCN.....)
So the 100.000£ question is:
Can I successfully appeal this PCN?
I have read this forum and many people managed to avoid paying it.
Looking forward to be hearing from you,
Joao

Hi and welcome to the forums.
As you appear to have based your forum username on your real name, I would strongly suggest that you arrange for MSE to change your username.
To help with that, you might like to read this short extract from The MSE Forum Guide - Frequently Asked Questions & Rules:Q. How can I change my username?
A. In most circumstances, this is not permitted.
The only reason we will change your username is if it puts your privacy at risk. This usually means you've inadvertently registered using your name, email address or something that gives away your identity within your username.
If you fall into this category, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com and request that it is changed, giving three alternative usernames in order of preference.0 -
Thank you. Will request username change.0
